ADMA-OPCO awards US$3.5bn of contracts for offshore fields

Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company (ADMA-OPCO) has signed US$3.5bn worth of contracts at ADIPEC 2014 for work on its offshore Nasr and Umm Shaif oilfields as part of the emirate’s plans to ensure sustained oil production. NPCC was awarded the US$792mn contract for the EPC work of Nasr Package 1 involving construction of seven wellhead towers, laying of infield pipelines, an excess gas pipeline of 32 km and a main (export) oil line of 70 km.

The largest contract was won by HHI for the EPC work of Package 2, worth US$1,938mn. This includes construction of Nasr Super Complex comprising platforms for accommodation, gas treatment and separation. Furthermore, the contract includes work associated with the supply of power to Nasr and existing Umm Shaif Super-Complex through sub-sea cables from power generation facilities at ADMA-OPCO’s DasIsland and construction of a power distribution platform at Umm Shaif Super Complex.

The third contract, signed with Technip, worth US$206mn was for provision of project management consultancy services. NPCC was also given a further contract for EPC work to boost gas supply from the offshore Umm Shaif Super Complex worth around $494mn.
